Parent/Guardian and Child-Related Data Notice

This notice explains, in plain language, how child-related information works in My Autism Buddy.
1. Who uses My Autism Buddy
- Accounts are only for adults aged 18 or older who are parents or legal guardians.
- Children may not create accounts or use the service directly.
- A parent decides whether to create a child profile and what optional information to enter.
2. Please use an alias
- Use an alias or nickname for your child.
- Do not enter a legal name, full birth date, address, school, photograph, contact information, precise location, medical records, government identifier, or other unnecessary identifying information.
3. What you can enter, and why
- Age range and optional gender — so tools and suggestions fit your child better.
- Routines and schedules — so daily plans can be displayed and followed.
- Support preferences — so you can keep helpful approaches in one place.
- Observations and behavior or mood information — so patterns can be saved and summarized over time.
- Goals and rewards — so progress can be tracked and celebrated.
- Notes — so you can keep your own written record.
- Reports — so you can review a period and, if you choose, share it.
- Reminders — so the app can notify you at the times you set.
- Optional Ask AI conversations — so you can ask general organizational and educational-support questions.
4. Your controls
You may access, correct, export, or delete information at any time using the app, or by contacting autismbuddyinfo@gmail.com.
5. Who else handles the information
- Supabase, through Lovable infrastructure, stores your account and family content and handles sign-in.
- Lovable infrastructure and Cloudflare-related hosting run and deliver the app.
- Lovable's managed email service delivers contact-form and service messages from notify.autismbuddy.org, and Supabase authentication (through Lovable infrastructure) sends sign-in and password-reset emails. No other email provider is used.
- If you turn on Ask AI, your question and relevant conversation context travel through the Lovable AI Gateway to Google Gemini so a response can be generated.
7. Not a medical-record system
My Autism Buddy is not a medical-record system. Please do not upload medical records.

My Autism Buddy is an organization and support tool for parents, caregivers, and independent adults. It helps organize routines and information. It does not provide or replace diagnosis, therapy, treatment, medical or clinical advice, emergency services, or professional caregiver training.
My Autism Buddy is not an emergency service. If a child or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
